This policy explains how the CoachOn Tennis app ("the app") handles information. The app is provided by CoachOn Sports ("we", "us"). If you have any questions, contact us at sportscoachdev@gmail.com.
CoachOn Tennis is built to keep your information private. Everything you create in the app — players, scores, matches, notes, goals, photos and videos, drawings and crops — is stored only on your own device. We do not run accounts or servers for your coaching data, we never receive it, and we do not sell or share it. There is no advertising and no analytics tracking inside the app.
When you use the app you may create information such as:
All of this is saved locally on your device using your browser's on-device storage. It stays on your device unless you choose to export it or back it up yourself. We have no access to it.
The app lets you add media in two ways: by choosing existing photos or videos from your device, or by taking a new photo or recording a new video with your device's camera. When you choose to capture media, your device will ask for permission to use the camera (and, for video, the microphone). This happens only when you tap to capture, and the resulting photo or video is saved straight into that player's media on your device. Captured media is never uploaded to us or to any third party by the app.
Cropping a video or photo in the app is non-destructive: the app stores the crop framing and applies it when the media is shown, without sending the media anywhere.
The app itself does not collect, transmit or store the information you enter on any server we control. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not gather usage analytics within the app.
The app may offer an optional paid upgrade ("Pro"). Any purchase is processed by the app store you installed the app from (for example, Google Play or the Apple App Store) under that store's own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive or store your payment details. The store may share with us limited, non-identifying information confirming whether a purchase or entitlement is active so the app can unlock paid features.
To function, the app is delivered as a website and uses a small number of third-party services:
Aside from any purchase confirmation described above, these services receive only the standard technical information needed to deliver the app to your device. They do not receive the information, photos or videos you create, because that never leaves your device.
The app contains no advertising, no third-party advertising identifiers, and no behavioural tracking.
Whether you are a coach, a player or a parent, you may record information, photos and videos about other people — for example the players you coach, your practice partners and opponents, or your own child. You are responsible for that information and for having an appropriate basis to record it — for example, the agreement of the person concerned or, where that person is a child, of their parent or guardian. Because the data stays on your device, you remain in control of it at all times.
The app is intended for use by adults — coaches, adult players and parents — and not by children directly. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Any information, photo or video recorded about a young player is stored only on the device of the adult who recorded it, as described above. If you record information or media about a minor, you are responsible for obtaining the consent of their parent or guardian.
You stay in control of your data. Within the app you can export a backup file, restore an on-device snapshot, or clear all data. The app may also keep automatic on-device backup snapshots to help you recover from accidental loss; these are stored on your device only. Removing the app from your device, or clearing your browser's storage for the site, will delete the data held on that device. Because we never receive your data, deletion is something you carry out on your own device, and you are responsible for keeping your own backups.
Because your data is stored on your device, its security depends largely on the security of your device (for example, your device passcode and your own backups). Any backup files you export are your responsibility to store safely, as they contain the information you created in the app.
We may update this policy from time to time, including as the app gains new features. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected here on this page.
